Bethany Moore has spent thousands of pounds fueling her passion for body art, and she credits it for giving her newfound confidence in every aspect of her life.
The 29-year-old, from East Sussex, claims to be the “UK’s most tattooed woman” after spending over £40,000 covering 98% of her body in ink, leaving only her head and feet untouched. Bethany says her striking appearance has empowered her with a unique kind of confidence that she never had before.
Once shy and self-conscious about her body, Bethany now embraces her tattoos as a source of strength and personal expression. “Tattooed women are 100% more confident and adventurous,” she explained. “If we’re brave enough to get tattooed like this, we’re definitely going to be more open-minded and bold in life.”
Bethany began her tattoo journey at 18 when she got a piece in memory of her late family dog. What started as a tribute quickly turned into a passion, and the more tattoos she got, the happier she felt in her own skin. “It’s exhilarating – there’s no feeling like it,” she said. Over the last few months alone, she has invested another £10,000 into her body art, and she doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
However, her lifestyle hasn’t come without challenges. Bethany often faces criticism and trolling, with strangers telling her she’s “ruined” her body or that she won’t look good as she ages. But she doesn’t let the negativity get to her. “People can stare, comment, or even cross the street to tell me their opinion. I used to hate the attention, but now I don’t care,” she said.
Instead, Bethany focuses on her own happiness and self-love. “I do this for myself,” she emphasized. “Now, at almost 30, I know who I am, and I’m proud of it. If people stop to compliment me, I stand tall and say thank you. I’m super happy with how it’s all turned out.”
